Welcome to YingXian School of Philanthropy!
Cheng Gang, Dean

“Philanthropy exists because of two truths about the human condition: things often go wrong, and things could always be better.”  At its core, philanthropy is about people, not merely for marginalized people but also for the whole development of human beings. We are energizing endeavors in this direction.

Last year, Yingxian School of Philanthropy has been established during the 110th anniversary of Zhejiang Gongshang University. It is the FIRST school in China that dedicates to cultivating talents in Philanthropy Management with bachelor, master and Ph.D. degrees in the field. The founding of the school was also rated by China Charity Alliance as one of the “Top 10 Philanthropic Cultural Events”of 2021. It is an essential step forward for philanthropic education in the higher education system in China.

As a school, our fundamental task is to cultivate elites in the field. We inspire them, develop their critical thinking, nurture their moral values, as well as deepen their understanding of society and human beings. But as a school of PHILANTHROPY, we have more social responsibility and our vision is to promote positive and lasting social changes to make people feel happier and make the world a better place.

The sudden outbreak of the COVID epidemic in recent years has thrown the world into chaos again. The world is facing increasing challenges and uncertainty.Wars, deaths, starvation, and unemployment have left tens of millions of people suffering. We’re fully aware that the earth is our home and only home, and no global problem can be solved by any one country alone. There must be global action, global response, and global cooperation. So, we not only collaborate with Chinese leading NPOs but also keep close connection with overseas organizations and universities in the field.

We stay committed to openness and inclusiveness, and we invite you to work together to build a community with a shared future for mankind and a better world for all!

Sincerely

Cheng Gang
Dean of Yingxian School of Philanthropy
